Statement: This piece was created for a recycled materials exhibit. For a year I collected the cloth sacks from the Spanish rice used in our inn for a Paella dish. There is dual graffiti in this piece; first - painted graffiti, but I added the "graffiti" of an artist who works with fabric and thread. Each panel features a different free-motion stitched design using Aurifil 24wt variegated thread - a heavy weight thread that creates a very visible line on top of the fabric.
